Course Description:
This course aims at providing students, as prospective EFL teachers, with the theoretical and
practical considerations of
language teaching and learning. The course outlines the concerns of applied linguistics that
have influenced teaching
English as a foreign language. More importantly, this course focuses on specific techniques and
materials for use within
the latest methodological approach. Indeed, it involves the most effective ways of teaching the
four language skills -
listening, speaking, reading, and writing - as well as presenting such language components as
grammar and vocabulary.
In addition, this course presents an approach to lesson planning, classroom management, and
assessment.
